Here in Edinburgh... Festival time!

Pin It Or should I say lots of crazy people everywhere doing silly things (in the street or in theatres) in rainy, temporarily crowded and overpriced Edinburgh!

The program is very exciting and quite overwhelming: I will start tomorrow with a David O' Doherty comedy show (never seen him before but quite intrigued) and next week we are going to see a Flamenco! Flamenco!at the ECA.

In between, lots of tap dancers and fire eaters on the pavement, and some art shows worth mentioning: I will go back to Galerie Mirages in Stockbridge this year for their beautiful Jewellery of the World exhibition and to the Scottish Parliement for the World Press Photo Exhibition.

There is as well the Fringe Film Festival (I apparently completely missed it last year, how could I?!) and the exciting 400 Women exhibition at the Canongate Venture (Paula Rego!).
Oh and a new exhibition of the Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto at the Gallery of Modern Art!

Check out the marble Scotsman Steps too!

If you can't take the crowds anymore escape to Glasgow for the British Art Show (until the 21rst)

(this is my pre-festival non-exhaustive list of course, feel free to recommend stuff!)
